Audit services

We review reporting and internal processes to identify risks and prepare recommendations.

How we can help

  • Financial audit: assessing reporting reliability, completeness and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Tax audit: checking the accuracy and timeliness of payments and returns, and tax inspection risks.
  • Assessment of the tax burden and recommendations for reducing it and managing tax risks.
  • Internal audit: assessing the effectiveness of control and management systems, identifying problems and recommending improvements.
  • Investigative reviews where fraud or breaches of legislation or internal company rules are suspected.
  • A written report with an assessment of the findings, identified violations and recommendations for remediation.

We agree on the services, timeline and fees based on your company's activities and needs.

When to contact us

  • Management needs to understand discrepancies in accounting, reporting or tax calculations.
  • The company wants to assess internal controls and identify areas requiring correction.
  • There are indications of breaches of internal rules or concerns about particular transactions, requiring a documentary review.

What to prepare for the discussion

  • The review objective: a specific problem, accounting area or internal process.
  • The period and transactions that raise questions.
  • Available reports, registers and related source documents.
  • Current transaction approval rules and allocation of authority.
  • A description of identified discrepancies and explanations already received.

How we approach the task

  1. Define the review boundaries

We agree on the period, areas and questions the review should answer. We clarify its purpose from the outset: an internal consulting review does not replace a statutory financial statement audit.

  2. Compare documents and actions

We examine selected reports, calculations and supporting materials. For internal processes, we compare prescribed procedures with actual actions and discuss discrepancies with responsible employees.

  3. Document findings and recommendations

We prepare a written report on the agreed matters: identified circumstances, their possible impact and recommendations. We distinguish confirmed discrepancies from questions where documents are missing.

What outcomes we agree on

  • A written report on the internal review within the agreed scope.
  • A description of identified accounting, tax calculation or internal process issues.
  • Recommendations for correcting discrepancies and improving controls.

Frequently asked questions

Does an internal review replace a statutory audit?

No. An internal review helps management understand accounting and processes. A statutory audit is performed by an appropriately licensed audit firm, which issues an official audit report. This consulting service does not claim to provide such a report.

Can you review just one area or period?

Yes. The subject and scope are agreed in advance. This may be a particular group of transactions, tax calculations or an internal process. Findings apply to the reviewed scope and do not imply a review of all company activities.

Do recommendations guarantee no findings in an external inspection?

No. They help identify and address issues within the agreed scope but do not replace the supervisory authority's decision. The completeness of findings also depends on the documents and information available.
